Plush/Earth timeline--anyone know more about this?

So I have both an Earth and a Plush. The Earth 2000 series and the Plush 1060 series are basically the same amp (save for the Plush having more preamp tubes--anyone know anything about this?). Now, its my understanding that Plush became/was bought out by Earth. Is this correct? If so, when does one become the other? It appears to me that there is some overlap; I see G2000's and 1060S's advertised as being from the same year.

Is there anyone out there who knows something more concrete than I about the timeline of these 2 companies? I know that Plush became Earth, and have been told that Earth died in the late 70s on a wave of Peavey clones with bad output transformers, but I'm more curious about what happened in the 60s/early 70s, with the tube amps and the Plush/Earth transition.

Feel free to shout out anything you know; I am a relatively recent (but devout) convert to these amps and have become moderately obsessed with finding out everything I can about them. Thanks!

plush superbass

you aren't kidding. that Plush looks almost exactly like my B-2000 with exception of the 3 extra dials next to the power switch.

yep

Right, and if you look at an Earth G-2000, you'll see its identical to the Plush. There was also a superbass version of the Plush that's identical to your B2000.

The only difference I've seen between the Plush and Earth is that the Plush has 2 more preamp tubes...
