g-2000 question

I have a g2000 amp thats been sitting around for awhile and I've been wanting a new guitar so I was wondering how much I could sell it for, and what avenue would be the best to sell it (ebay, craigslist)?

Hey now! I see these on

Hey now! I see these on e-bay from time to time. Very costly to ship. The head only in good shape should get a min, of $300. I would not sell mine for $300. I would guess a music stroe would ask $450. Good luck. You might regret someday selling it. Frank

Keep It....

I have to say. If you are under 30 years old keep it. I have regretted every old piece of gear I traded or sold years ago. They are all classics now. Ahh to have the 1957 Marshall I traded.....

I have gone on eBay and replaced much of them, at much higher cost. My 1972 Super Fuzz. Original Cost ~$80. Re-purchased in 2009 ~$450. My ARIA Mosrite, 1970 ~$100, 2010, $350. You get the idea.

I did get a good deal on my latest Earth 112 Revival. Didn't work. $100. New tubes. And good as new.... My original 112, ~$100, just needs a rework and.......

So I would vote for keeping it unless you "really" need the money. These amps can only increase in value. And they are not making any more of them.
