Earth XL-1 Piano

I have an Earth Sound Research XL-1 Piano. It is a portable electronic keyboard with three settings: piano, honky-tonk and clavi chord. It looks like it is from the 70s. I have had it for about 5 or 6 years and have googled "Earth Sound Research" from time to time just to try to find out more about it. If anybody is interested in knowing more about it or seeing some pictures let me know and I will post some.

It looks similar to this:

An mp3 of it with its various settings:

That looks like a rebadged Univox

That looks like a rebadged Univox Compac II piano that Univox/Merson/Korg/Westbury blahblahblah had been importing at the time from Crumar of Italy.

Earth also briefly tried its hand at marketing the Orchestron keyboard - sort of a hopped-up Optigan - to U.S. keyboardists around 1978-79. Did not do well at all.

I had no idea ESR made

I had no idea ESR made keyboards, but I will definitely be keeping an eye out for that from now on.. Totally funky looking, I wonder if they ever made a tuck-and-roll version..
